Review Methodology
Limitations
We acknowledge three limitations. First, our test accounts are from one Indian state; UPI friction varies by bank, and a reader in a different state may see a different payment-speed experience. Second, our support-quality score is based on English-language chat; readers who need Hindi or regional-language support will have a different sample. Third, our app-stability window is three months; a crash wave inside the first week after a major release can be missed if the window closes before the release lands. These limitations are listed inline on each review page so a reader can calibrate the score against their own situation.
Weights table
The weights are published and do not change between operators within a scoring period. Bonus value is twenty percent; bonus terms is twenty percent; payment speed is twenty percent; game library, support quality, and app stability share the remaining forty percent equally. The weighting is deliberately heavy on payment speed because this is where an Indian player's first interaction with a cashier happens, and friction here is a stronger signal for long-run satisfaction than any single marketing figure. Weight changes, when they happen, are announced in advance and applied to every operator on the same day.
Criteria
A full review scores RUMMYES across six criteria: bonus value, bonus terms, payment speed, game library, support quality, and app stability. The criteria themselves are stable across operators. Bonus value is the headline percentage and cap at face value; bonus terms is the wagering requirement, max-bet during bonus, game weighting, and expiry window; payment speed is the full round-trip including KYC on first withdrawal; game library is counted and weighted by provider mix; support quality is response time plus the share of first-contact resolutions; app stability is crash rate and update cadence over the measurement window.
How we test
To test a feature of RUMMYES we open a real Indian account using our own identity and our own money. We go through the behaviour we want to describe — a deposit via UPI, a welcome bonus activation, a withdrawal back to the originating bank account, a support request through live chat — and we record each step with the timestamp the operator shows us. We do not quote outcomes we have not personally reproduced within the previous three months. Where a step cannot be re-run on an already-verified account, we note that in a short appendix on the review page so a reader knows what is and is not first-hand.
Scoring
Each review assigns a score across six criteria: bonus value, bonus terms, payment speed, game library, support quality, and app stability. The weights are published on this page; they do not change between operators. The composite is a weighted average rounded to one decimal — we do not tune the result to a round number. The score is calibrated so that eight out of ten represents a solid operator for Indian players, nine represents a standout, and ten is reserved for an operator that outperforms every peer in the sample. We do not stack-rank — two operators can share a score if they genuinely deserve it. When the composite moves by less than a tenth of a point, we round in favour of the lower score, not the higher one. Readers notice a scorecard that drifts upward over time, and we do not want to be a site whose scores slowly inflate.
